About Cynthia

Hi, I am Cynthia.

I am a qualified counsellor with more than 13 years of experience supporting people through some of life’s most difficult seasons. My work has focused on helping individuals navigate grief and loss, anxiety and stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, and emotional wellbeing.

Over the years I have had the privilege of walking alongside many people facing complex and deeply personal situations. I have supported individuals and families through bereavement, major life changes, caring responsibilities and moments when life simply feels overwhelming.

These experiences have shaped the way I approach counselling today.

My person centred approach is foundational in supporting the individual needs of my clients through a variety of modalities including Cognitive Bahavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT).

I believe that every person deserves a space where they can speak openly, feel genuinely heard and explore their experiences without judgement. In our sessions, my role is not to tell you what to do, but to support you as you make sense of what you are going through and find your own way forward.

Many people come to counselling when they feel stuck, uncertain, or emotionally exhausted. Together we can explore what is happening in your life, identify patterns that may be affecting your wellbeing, and develop practical ways to move toward greater clarity and balance.

Before establishing my private practice, I spent more than a decade working in aged care and community support, where I provided counselling and emotional support to residents, families, and staff. This work gave me a deep appreciation for the complexity of people’s life stories and the courage it takes to seek support.

I hold a Bachelor of Counselling from the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors.

Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, but it can also be the beginning of meaningful change. If you are looking for a safe and supportive space to talk, I would be honoured to walk alongside you.
